"The Pirates are capable of having an interesting half-season now. 2022 can be an important year for them as they figure out which pitchers can be three-year solutions and which will be non-tendered next winter. Beyond that, in Hayes, they have a player who should be here when the Henry Davis/Quinn Priester Pirates are coming together. Oneil Cruz might not be a shortstop but he’ll hit somewhere. The team will have top-five picks in 2022 and probably 2023."
