"The Rockies, at this point, have the worst organization in baseball. A couple of teams have worse owners, no one has a worse front office, and the combination of the two makes the Rockies a disaster. They’re 30 years old and they have never finished first. They’re no threat to do so in the short or medium term. They fundamentally do not understand how baseball games are won and lost. They signed Daniel Bard, a generic 37-year-old reliever who was out of baseball three years ago, to a two-year, $19-million contract and touted it like it was a good thing. Bard throws about two innings a week and this season has allowed a .196 BABIP. This story doesn’t end well."
