The Astros’ pen is a bit of a mess, as I wrote Monday. With Bryan Abreu serving as the closer, there are simply no reliable right-handed relievers on hand in front of him. AJ Blubaugh, who threw 50 pitches to open a bullpen game Tuesday, could end up throwing in leverage, as could Jayden Murray, who made his MLB debut two weeks ago. I can’t help but think one of these games will hinge on Joe Espada asking Craig Kimbrel to do something he is no longer qualified to do.
